Peter Conathan is a lawyer based in Sandwich, Massachusetts, whose practice is focused on estate planning and asset protection strategies for individuals who wish to provide for their families.  An AV rated Martindale Hubbell attorney, Mr. Conathan’s particular areas of expertise include revocable trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, elder law, special needs trusts, premarital agreements, probate and trust administration, health care proxies and durable powers of attorney.

Mr. Conathan graduated from Georgetown University (1970) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, and from Boston College Law School (1974) with a Juris Doctor law degree.

Mr. Conathan is licensed as an attorney by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 1974 and the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, since 1975.

Mr. Conathan began his career in 1974, establishing his own firm in 1975.  With over 35 years of concentrated experience behind him, Mr. Conathan is able to offer clients timely, cost-effective solutions for their planning needs.

Mr. Conathan is a member of Estate Planning Council of Cape Cod, Barnstable County Bar Association (President 1994-1995), WealthCounsel, Medicaid Practice Systems.  Mr. Conathan served as a Trustee for the Town of Sandwich Weston Memorial Fund.  Past community involvement includes:

Mr. Conathan lives with his wife Carol in Sandwich, and has two grown daughters.  His interests include tennis, kayaking, remodeling and spending time with his grandsons.
